Dr Giuseppe Suaria from CNR-ISMAR organized (6-8/5/2024) in the Castle of Lerici the EUROMECH scientific colloquium on ”MICROPLASTIC DISPERSION PATHWAYS”. The event gathered around 40 international experts on plastic pollution working on the fluid mechanics problem of predicting the transport, dispersion, deposition and resuspension of microplastics in lakes, rivers, coastal oceans and beyond. In addition, the meeting aimed to foster new collaborations between researchers with diverse backgrounds but a common interest in predicting the fate of plastic pollution in our waters. During this meeting some of the results obtained during the NAUTILOS project were also presented.
